We were big fans of our last washed coffee from Bumbogo, so when we heard word that a decaf process from that same farm was standing out on the cupping table we had to try it. If ever there was a coffee that shows decaf coffee doesn't have to sacrifice on flavour to help you avoid the coffee jitters, this is it.

In the CO2 decaffeination process, water soaked coffee beans are placed in a stainless steel extraction vessel where liquid CO2 is forced into the coffee at pressures of 1,000 pounds per square inch. The CO2 acts as a solvent to dissolve and draw the caffeine from the coffee beans, leaving the larger-molecule flavor components behind. The caffeine laden CO2 is then transferred to another container.

NOTE: We roast and package our coffee to order every Tuesday for postage the following Wednesday. To ensure we get your order in time, please place them before 5pm on Monday.
